Alba Rose (Battistini) Campbell, age 92, died peacefully February 6, 2016. Alba was the wife of the late Harold F. Campbell, Jr. Born and raised in Bridgewater, she was the daughter of the late Evaristo and Mary (Ballestracci) Battistini. Alba also resided in Brockton and East Falmouth. She was a graduate of Bridgewater High School and received her degree as a Registered Nurse from Massachusetts Memorial Hospital Nursing School in Boston. She was a longtime member of the Massachusetts Memorial Nursing Association. Alba was a full-time stay at home mom and a part-time nurse at the Goddard Hospital and One Pearl Street Medical Building, and also worked at the Foxboro Company in East Bridgewater. She enjoyed traveling to sunny destinations, sewing, being outdoors, and was an avid gardener and cook. She also loved music and dancing.
Alba is survived by her two children Mary Ann McLaughlin and her husband Robert of Raynham and Harold F. Campbell, III and his wife Nancy of West Bridgewater; five grandchildren Brian McLaughlin, Jean Darr, Anne MacLeod, Christina Campbell and Matthew Campbell and four great grandchildren Alex and Emilia Darr and Nora and Lillian MacLeod.
Visitation will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton, Wednesday 10-11am, followed by a funeral service at 11am. Burial in Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.
