Laconia-----Dean Erb, 89, formerly of 21 Ledges Drive, died on Thursday, February 04, 2016 at the Taylor Community.
Dean was born on May 13, 1926 in Lynn, Mass. the son of the late Francis D. and Ada L. (Bryan) Erb. He was a graduate of Lynn English High School and Boston University School of Business Administration, class of 1947.
Dean worked for the NH Insurance Company as a Manager of Surety Bonds, a Fidelity & Surety Bond Claims Supervisor and a Chartered Property & Casualty Underwriter.
Dean was a member of the Laconia Congregational Church; UCC Board of Incorporators Taylor Home; Laconia Mt. Lebanon Lodge #32; Laconia Farmer Member; Manchester City Republican Committee; Concerned Taxpayers of Manchester; Board of Trustees, Havenwood / Heritage Heights Retirement Community; Concord Farmer Member and Board of Directors, Oakbrook Condominiums, Manchester.
Dean is survived by daughters Susan Ridge and her husband Brian of New Boston and Cynthia Bickford and her husband Dale of Milton; two granddaughters, Sarah Eastman and her husband Brian of Milford, MA and Jennifer Enman and her husband Daniel of Goffstown; two great- grandchildren, Connor Eastman and Aidan Eastman of Milford, MA; three step-children, Michael Gonnerman, Tobey Gonnerman and Susan Hayes. Dean is also survived by several cousins.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his first wife, Betty F. Erb in 1987, his second wife Enid H. Erb in 1998 and his third wife, Elizabeth “Libby” Tobey Gonnerman Erb in 2013.
Calling Hours will be held on Monday, February 15, 2016 from 10am to 11am at the Beane Conference Center, 35 Blueberry Lane, Laconia, NH.
Immediately following will be a Memorial Service, also at the Beane Conference Center.
Private Burial will be held in the spring.
