Dorothy M. McPeck age 91 of Middleboro died Wednesday February 3, 2016 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was the devoted wife of George A. McPeck for 69 years.
Dorothy was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri and came to Boston as a young woman. She lived in Brockton for many years before moving to Middleboro 24 years ago. She was devoted to her home and family while raising seven children.
Dorothy enjoyed gardening, the beach, crafts, making jewelry and doing jigsaw puzzles. She will be remembered as a hardworking and loving lady.
In addition to her husband George, Dorothy was the mother of Dee Liggerio and her husband Dave, Mary Alves and her husband Bobby, Carol McGillis and her husband Danny, Karen Brown and her husband Alan, Susan McPeck and Peggy Watts and her husband Brad. She was also the mother of the late John McPeck. She leaves 15 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 439 West Street, Brockton on Tuesday at 9:30 am. Burial will follow in Melrose Cemetery, Brockton. Please consider making a donation in Dorothy’s name to Old Colony Hospice, One Credit Union Way, Randolph, MA 02368.
