DOLORES V. HARRISON, 85, went peacefully into the loving arms of Jesus on Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at Essex Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
She is now reunited with her husband, William L. Harrison, Sr.; her son, William L. Harrison, Jr. and her beloved poodle, Peaches, all of whom passed on before her.
She retired from JCPS and was an avid U of L fan. So much so, that she elected to donate her body to the University of Louisville School of Medicine.
She is survived by daughters, Lisa Stretch (Clay), Linda Lucas (Gary), and daughter-in-law, Pam Harrison; grandchildren, Stephanie Blevins, Erin Kenney, Heather Wood, Kelli Clark, Lauren Bolin and Luke Harrison; and 11 great grandchildren.
Memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, February 6, 2016 from 1 -8 p.m. at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway. A prayer service will be conducted at 7 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may go to K9s for Warriors, 114 Camp K9 Rd. Ponte Vedra, Fl. 32081, in honor of Dolores, or to the Toys for Tots Foundation.
