Ann J. Seno passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, February 3, 2016 after a brief illness. She was born on March 19, 1924 in Joliet, Illinois to Italian immigrant parents Charles and Esther Fassola. Ann was the youngest of 6 children and often spoke of her happy childhood despite the difficulties of the times.
Ann and her husband, Jim Seno, moved to Ventura in 1952 and never left. They were members of Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church since it's establishment in 1954. Ann was active in the church community as a long time member of the Y.L.I. and both she and Jim were charter members of the Italian Catholic Federation for many years. Ann also volunteered as a pink lady at Community Memorial Hospital and with the Caregivers organization. She was also active in the Ventura Police Department Auxiliary. Ann was an outgoing and joyful person, always willing to help anyone in need. She enjoyed socializing with her many friends and loved to dance. She was a wonderful cook, not only preparing the best Italian food, but she could transform even leftovers into a gourmet meal with ease. Ann's signature fashion style always involved coordinating her outfits from earrings to shoes. She rarely left the house until she was "put together."
Ann was preceded in death by her parents, husband Jim Seno, four brothers (Charles, Joe, Louie, Geno), and sister Teresa. She is survived by her daughters Lynn Myers and Dianne Seno; grandchildren William, Robert, and Robin; eight great grandchildren; and her beloved greyhound, Eden.
We love you and miss you mom, until we meet again.
The family would like to thank the ladies from Buena Vista Hospice who took such good care of our loving mom during her illness. Tania, Shadey, and Alicia were a blessing.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, February 9, 2016 at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church, 3175 Telegraph Road, Ventura. Entombment will follow at Ivy Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum, Ventura. Friends may visit at the Funeral Home on Monday from 4:30 to 7:30 P.M.
