Regina “Jeanne” Ruth Dawe (LaPointe), age 86, passed away surrounded by her loving family on February 1, 2016. Jeanne was born, raised, and educated in Weymouth. She met her husband of almost 60 years, Edgar Dawe, through family members when he got back from serving in the Air Force during the Korean War and they have been together ever since. After they got married they settled in Weymouth to raise their family. Jeanne lived for her family and loved all the work that came with being a wife and mother. She remained an active parishioner of St. Francis Xavier Church throughout her life. Jeanne will be missed for her strong family connection and her Sunday family dinners at the house in Weymouth.
Jeanne is survived by her beloved husband Edgar Allen Dawe Sr., her loving children Debora Bailey of Plymouth, Sandra Dibona and her husband Greg of Hanover, Edgar Dawe Jr. of Plymouth, and Charlene Butler and her husband Sean of Sandwich. She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren Matt, Derek, Frank, Chelsye, Greg, Jeana, and Charlotte.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours from 7-9 PM on Thursday February 4, 2016 in the C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home located at 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq.) S. Weymouth, MA. Relatives and friends are invited to the Funeral Mass in honor of Jeanne on Friday February 5 at 12:30PM at St. Francis Xavier Church in South Weymouth.
