Werner was born in Ghent, Belgium. He earned a PhD in Chemistry. He was a Division Scientist during his 30 year career at 3M. He was a brilliant chemist, serving as a consultant and mentor. He has over 100 patents and inventions. Werner had an impeccable memory, manifested over and over in his paintings. Survived by his wife Becky, with whom he found great joy in the precious moments they shared; son Steven; parents Wim & Agnes, whom he adored; sister Sabine. Memorial service Friday (2/5) 12:00 PM at REDEEMER BAPTIST CHURCH, 2479 Geneva Ave. N, Oakdale. Visitation at 11:30 AM. Memorials may be made to the church.
