James J. Igo, Sr. age 95 of Canton passed away at home February 1st. Born in Manchester, N.H., Jim grew up in Canton and graduated from Canton High School and Boston University and was an Army Veteran of WW II. He was the owner and operator of Plyco Concrete Forms for many years before retiring. After retiring, Jim worked at the Blue Hill Regional School in the Maintenance Department. He was the former president of the Pleasant Circle Assn and a former member of the Knights of Columbus in Canton. Jim loved spending time with his grandchildren and skating on the Canton Reservoir. Beloved husband of the late Mabel A. (Stone). Father of Margaret Hickey and her late husband Michael of Canton, Nancy Spadea and her husband Dominic of Easton, James J. Igo, Jr. and his wife Lori of Franklin and Christopher J. Igo and his wife Laurie of Marshfield. Grandfather of Michelle Powers, Susan Ivanoski, Stacey Walsh, Lisa Donovan, Kelli Greene, Christina White, Alexandra Igo, Benjamin Igo, Christopher Jr., Jonathan and Cameron Igo. Also survived by 15 great grandchildren and 1 great great granddaughter. Visiting hours at the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home 455 Washington St. Canton Friday 4-8 pm. Funeral mass at St. John the Evangelist Church Canton Saturday morning at 10. Burial St. Mary’s Cemetery, Canton. Army Veteran WW II.
