Patricia (Dempsey) Hayward, age 68, of Weymouth, passed away on Monday, February 1, 2016. Patricia is survived by her loving Husband, Stephen Hayward, her son, William and his partner Kristen Lanzillo and her grandson, William Hayward Jr. all of Middleboro. She is the sister of Howard Dempsey and his partner, Andrew Paste of Dighton, John Dempsey and his wife Karen of Middleboro, Paul Dempsey and his wife Linda of Hanson, Margaret Clapp and her husband Jim Conley of East Bridgewater and Peter Dempsey and his wife Janet of Damariscotta, ME. She also leaves ten loving nieces and nephews and dear friends, Lil, Mary and Mim.
Pat was born in Weymouth and lived in Abington from 1969 to 1978 before moving back to the family home in Weymouth in 1978. She is retired from J.L. Hammett Company, Robbie Oil Company and Duval Oil Company.
Friends and relatives are respectfully invited to visiting hours for Patricia (Pat) on Tuesday February 2 from 4-7 PM at the C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home, 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq.) S. Weymouth. Relatives and Friends will gather in the Funeral Home at 8:30 AM on Wednesday for a Celebration of her life prior to the Funeral Mass in honor of Pat at the St. Francis Xavier Church, 234 Pleasant St. S. Weymouth at 9:30.
In keeping with her generous spirit and love for everyone, in lieu of flowers donations may be made in Pat’s memory to the charity of your choice.
