David Kenneth McCook, 45, of Fitzgerald, died Sunday, January 31, 2016.
Funeral services will be held 2 PM, Tuesday, February 2, 2016, at The Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Fitzgerald, with the Rev. Steve Hand officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Olive Cemetery, Ben Hill County. The family will receive friends from 6-8 Monday evening at the funeral home in Fitzgerald.
David was born December 9, 1970, in Ben Hill County, Georgia to Kenneth & Linda Brady McCook. He was a 1990 graduate of Fitzgerald High School and attended Ben Hill-Irwin Tech where he studied automotive maintenance. He was a self-employed mechanic specializing in transmission work. David loved to fish and had a big heart; he enjoyed helping people in need. He was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church.
He is survived by a daughter, Hope Usher of Columbus; his parents, Kenneth & Linda Brady McCook of Fitzgerald; two sisters and brothers-in-law: Wendy & Whit Story of Fitzgerald and Terri & Jason Bowen of Perry; as well as six nieces and nephews.
