Leach, Alma “Laverne” (Philpott), 79, passed away Saturday, January 30, 2016 at home surrounded by her family.
She was born to Ercy and Lela (Still) Philpott in Brandenburg, KY. Laverne worked as an Insurance Coder for Dr. Mouser till she retired in 2000.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lawrence Dale Leach; and a son, Michael Leach.
Left to cherish her memory are her son, Rodger Leach; grandson, Brian Leach; a brother, Ray Philpot; the mother of her grandson, Rosey Leach; one niece, and one nephew.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 12:00 noon at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway with burial at Ekron Baptist Church Cemetery, 2775 Haysville Road, Ekron, KY 40117.
Visitation is Tuesday 2:00-8:00p.m.
