Methuen – Manuel A. Peixoto, 69 of Methuen, passed away on Saturday, January 30, 2016 at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, with his loving family by his side. He was the beloved husband of Maria (Amaral) Peixoto, to whom he was married for 44 years.
Born in Azores, Portugal on September 30, 1946, he was the son of Manuel and Maria (Silva) Peixoto. Manuel owned and operated a Dunkin’ Donuts in Haverhill until his retirement. In his free time, he loved spending time with his family. He especially enjoyed taking trips with his family to his vacation home in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
Manuel will be deeply missed by his wife, Maria; daughters, Anna Brown and her husband, Christopher of Hampstead, NH and Debbie Young and her husband, Jason of Salem, NH; his son, Ryan Peixoto of Methuen; 5 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; 2 brothers, George and Carlos Peixoto, both of Azores, Portugal; and several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will honor and celebrate Manuel’s life by gathering for calling hours on Tuesday, February 2, 2016 from 4-7 PM at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence Street, Methuen. His Mass of Christian burial will be held at 9 AM on Wednesday at Our Lady of Good Counsel / St. Theresa Church, 22 Plymouth Street, Methuen. Burial will follow at St. Mary/Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Lawrence.
