Providenza Coco of Somerville died on Saturday, January 30. Born and raised in Adrano, Italy, she was the daughter of the late Salvatore and Salvatrice Coco. Providenza came to the U.S. in the mid-1970's, settling in Somerville where she spent the rest of her life.

Povidenza was the devoted mother of Orazio Coco and his wife Denise, Salvatore and Fatima Coco, all of Somerville, Agatha LoBrutto and her husband Jack of Nashua, NH, Salvatrice "Sylvia" Balevre and her husband Sean of Salem, NH, James Coco and his wife Melissa of Somerville, Marisa LoNano and her husband Salvatore of Revere, and the late Alfredo Coco. She was the loving grandmother of Kristyn, Zach, Brandon, Alfredo, Salvatore, Maria, Jack, Kayla, Katerina, Krystal, Alfredo, Samantha, Alexandra, Dante, Gianna, Nico, and the late Orazio. Providenza was the loving great grandmother of Michael.

Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford on Tuesday, February 2 at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Ann Church, 399 Medford St., Somerville, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Monday, February 1 from 4 through 8 PM. Services will conclude with burial at Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
