Obituary

FRAMINGHAM: David Shoolman, age 85, a resident of Framingham, Falmouth, and Naples, FL, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 24, 2016, at his Framingham home. He was the devoted husband of Isa-Maria Margo (Stolp) Shoolman for 60 years.

Born in Boston, he was the son of the late Eliot B. and Shula (Epstein) Shoolman of New Bedford. David was a graduate of the Moses Brown School in Providence and continued his education at Harvard University. After receiving his bachelor’s degree in 1951, he enlisted in the US Navy. While serving in Italy, he met and courted Isa-Maria. He retired from the Navy in 1967 with the rank of Lieutenant.

The Shoolmans married in 1955, and lived in Brighton and Newton prior to settling in Framingham in 1976. David was employed for many years with the Morse Shoe Company, where he rose to become Vice President of Advertising. He later established his own advertising concern, ID Associates of Framingham and Falmouth. A kind and caring man with an unflagging sense of humor, David loved animals, particularly his dogs, and was a generous and charitable man. A Master Mason, he was a 56 year member of the Quittacus Lodge A.F. & A.M., New Bedford.

He is survived by his wife and many longstanding devoted friends.

A memorial gathering will be planned for a future date. Those interested in attending are encouraged to leave contact information either by mail at P.O.
