Donald E. “Buddy” Decelles 87, died Tuesday January 26, 2016 at St. Antoine Residence. He was the husband of the late Frances M. (Fontaine) Decelles. Born in Woonsocket, he was a son of the late Lucien and Loretta (Walsh) Decelles. Donald was the manager of the former Beverly Club Restaurant for many years before retiring in 1993. In addition, he managed the Bungay Brook Sporting Club and worked as a restaurant manager for Savini’s restaurant for many years. He was a member of the Bellingham Lion’s Club, and was an accomplished musician who played bass fiddle, tuba and trumpet.
He is survived by four daughters; Diane Jarry and her husband David of Woonsocket, Deborah Rhodes and her husband Kenneth of Cumberland, Donna Suffoletto and her husband Michael of Millville, and Darlene Wood and her husband Douglas of Cumberland, two sisters; Joan Morelle of Cumberland and Carol Laramee of Woonsocket, eleven grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, and three great great grandchildren. He was also the brother of the late Lucien "Sonny" Decelles.
His funeral will be held Saturday at 9:00 AM from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 463 South Main St, Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00AM in Holy Family Church. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Cumberland. Visiting hours will be Friday 4-7 PM.
