Crystal (Powers) Saunders of Malden died suddenly on Saturday, January 23, at the Whidden Memorial Hospital in Everett. Raised and educated in Medford, she was the daughter of John and Phyllis (Capasso) Powers.

Crystal was the beloved wife of Brian Saunders, and the devoted mother of Isabella and Makayla Saunders, all of Malden. She was the loving sister of John Powers and his wife Melissa of Lowell, and Daniel Powers, who is on active duty in the U.S. Army. Crystal was the daughter-in-law of Tina and the late Paul J. Saunders of Medford, and sister-in-law of Sean Saunders of Medford, and the late Paul J. Saunders II. She is also survived by her cousin Lisa Bodi of Burlington, and many more loving aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford on Monday, February 1, at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in Sacred Hearts Church, 297 Main Street, Malden, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Sunday, January 31 from 4 through 8 PM. Interment will be private.
