Obituary

Warren J. Giampietro, 81, of Norwood formerly of Walpole died suddenly January 19 in his home. He was the husband of the late Mary (McDonell) Giampietro who died in 2014.
Born in Walpole, January 10, 1935, the son of the late Antonio and Sabina (Lamonica) Giampietro, Mr. Giampietro was raised in Walpole and had lived in Norwood since 1963.
Mr. Giampietro had been a quality control technician for the Foxboro Company for 22 years before retiring. He had previously worked at the Plimpton Press in Norwood for 18 years as a book binder.
Warren had been member of and past president of the Walpole Italian American Club. He had also been a member of the Norwood Elks Club and the Norwood V.F. W.
He enjoyed playing bocce, pool, bowling and playing scratch tickets.
He had served in the Army during the late 1950’s.
He is survived by his son James A. Giampietro of Norwood and his beloved companion Tracy Aicardi.
He is also survived by his siblings. Andrew “Gump” Giampietro and his wife Mary of Walpole and Nancy Brown and her husband Fred of Norton.
He was the brother of the late Robert Giampietro.
His memorial mass will be celebrated on Saturday, February 6 in St. Mary’s Church, East Walpole at 10:00.
A celebration of his life will follow at the Elks Club in Norwood.
