John D. “Jack” Dolan age 80 of Canton passed away January 20th at the Hellenic Nursing Home surrounded by his loving family. Born and raised in Boston, he attended Boston Schools and was an Army Veteran of the Korean War. He has lived in Canton since 1964 where he operated the family business, John Dolan Flooring, for many years. John was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #2095 in Canton, a member of the St. Gerard Majella Prayer Group in Canton and an active member of St. John the Evangelist Church in Canton. Beloved husband of Gail P. (Young). Father of Rosemarie Eckler and her husband Jack of Stoughton, Joan Tanguy and her husband Jack of Abington, Lorraine Davis and her husband Rob of Canton, Caroline Eckler and her husband Frank of Canton, and John Dolan and his wife Patricia of Easton. Brother of Madeleine Carson of RI, Marie Driscoll of Dedham, Robert Dolan and his wife Agnes of Canton, Patricia Manning and her husband Timothy of FL, William “Joey” Dolan and his wife Dianne of Stoughton, Barbara Macone and her husband Anthony of Foxboro and the late Paul and Francis Dolan and Theresa Pursley. Also survived by 15 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Relatives and friends invited to attend a Celebration of Jack’s Life at the Brookmeadow Country Club 100 Everendon Rd Canton Friday January 29th from 4 to 8 pm. Funeral mass at St. John the Evangelist Church Canton Saturday morning January 30th at 10:30. Burial Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton.
