Obituary

Leonette MacLean, 82 passed away peacefully January 22, 2016, surrounded by her family at home.

Leonette was born December 24, 1933 in Bouctouche New Brunswick Canada. She was the daughter of the late Emma and Alyre LeBlanc.

Leonette attended school L'ecole Notra Dame in Bouctouche and later at the Lacdamie Assumption in Moncton.

She was married in 1955 to the late Michael A.J. MacLean. Who predeased her October 16, 2001. They were stationed throughout Europe and Canada until moving to Hudson in 1970.

Leonette was from a family of 12 and has two living brothers, Ulric Leblanc of Bouctouche Canada and Jervais Leblanc of Moncton Canada. Two living sisters Margaret LeBlanc of Moncton Canada and Fern Leger of Toronto Canada. She also leaves behind her dear adopted loving sister Lena Lamore of Hudson.

She was a devoted mother to her 9 children. Debbie Freitas and husband Silvino, Michael MacLean, Jimmy MacLean, Cindy Provencher and husband David, Charlene MacLean, Scott MacLean, Karen and husband Joe Lamore and Jason MacLean. Also predeceased Krista Lee MacLean who died April 9, 1982.

She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Leonette leaves 14 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

She had a life long passion for her Catholic faith, music, the ocean, playing cards and most of all family gatherings where she could enjoy her legacy that she would leave behind.

A funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday, January 25, 2016 at 9:00 a.m. at St. Michael’s Church, 21 Manning St. Hudson, MA. Burial will follow in Forestvale Cemetery, Hudson. Family and friends may attend calling hours on Saturday, January 23rd from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. in the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749
