Obituary

Richard A. Daniels, 84, of East Walpole, died January 20 in the Harrington House in Walpole. He was the husband of Shirley (Cronin) Daniels for the past 61 years.
Born in Boston, July 8, 1931, the son of the Arthur and Grace (Kelley) Daniels, Mr. Daniels was raised in West Roxbury and had lived in East Walpole for most of his adult life.
An electrician, he had worked for Bird & Son for many years and also for Control Systems Engineering for 10 years before retiring.
Mr. Daniels had served in the Navy during the Korean War.
Richard was a Chevrolet Corvair enthusiast and was a member of the Corvair Club.
He also had enjoyed tending to his parrots over the years and loved spending time with his family.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his children, Sheila Roberts and her husband Ron Hubbard of Plainville, Nancy Decoulos of Peabody, Richard Daniels and his wife Cathy of Gardner and Joan Landry and her husband Duane of Rockland.
He was the brother of the late Edith Brennan and Charlotte Colanutoni.
He is also survived by his grandchildren, Tyler and Matthew and his great-grandchildren Tyler and soon to be born Rylie.
His visiting hours will be held on Friday, January 22 in the Ginley Funeral Home (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com) 892 Main Street, Walpole from 4-7 p.m.
A service will be held at 6:30 p.m.
Burial will be on Monday, January 25, at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne at 1:30 p.m.
