Obituary

Annamarie M. (Vallely) Miller, a resident of Charlestown for over 20 years and formerly of Chelsea, entered into eternal life on Friday January 15, 2016 at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston following an extended illness. She was 89 years of age.

Annamarie was born in the Bronx, New York on July 9, 1926, a daughter of the late Daniel Vallely and Mary (Quirk) Vallely. She grew up in the Bronx where she was educated at the St. Pius V. Parochial School and graduated from St. Pius V. High School. Annamarie worked as a caterer for the Chelsea Kiwanis and Rotary Clubs for many years. Following her retirement, she volunteered for Catholic Charities as a volunteer grandmother.

Annamarie is the beloved wife of the late James J. Miller. She is the devoted mother of James J. Miller Jr. of Charlestown, Daniel Miller and his wife Nicole of Melbourne, Florida, Martin Miller and his wife Donna of Malden, Marianne Lacey and her husband Walter of Charlestown, Vincent Miller and his wife Natacha of Middleton, and the late William Miller. She is the loving Nana Sissy to 20 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. She is the loving sister to the late William and Daniel Vallely.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Annamarie’s Funeral on Friday, January 22, 2016 at 9 A.M. from The Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill Street, Charlestown followed by her Funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Church, 55 Warren St. Charlestown at 10 A.M. Her burial will be at the Veterans Administration National Cemetery in Bourne at 12:45 PM. Annamarie's visiting hours will be on Thursday, January 21, 2016 from 4 P.M. to 8 P.M. in the funeral home.
