Roland Mahar passed away on January 16, 2016 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was 77 years old.
Roland was a longtime resident of Everett and operated Roland’s Barber Shop in Boston for many years.
Roland was the devoted husband of 55 years to Roseann (Itrato) Mahar. He was the son of the late Charles and Mildred (Denbow) Mahar. Roland was the beloved father of Louis A. Mahar of Malden, Brenda Goldman and her husband Stephen of Lynn, and Sharon Smith of Malden. He was the dear brother of Virginia Jones, Ellery Mahar, and Nancy Fitzsimmons. Roland was the cherished grandfather of Kevin and Jason Goldman and Leah and Scott Smith. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial celebrating Roland’s life in Saint Mary of the Assumption Church 660 Washington Ave., Revere on Thursday January 21st at 9:00a.m. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
