Methuen – Barbara A. (Dunn) Liberty, 62, of Methuen, died peacefully at Holy Family Hospital surrounded by her family on Saturday, January 16, 2016.
Born on November 12, 1953, she was the daughter of the late Charles G. and Ruth F. (Seche) Dunn. She was born and raised in Stoneham and was a graduate of Stoneham High School. She was the office manager at Frommelt Equipment Company in North Reading for the past 18 years. Barbara’s greatest joy was spending time with her family, going to the casinos and traveling.
She was the devoted wife to Donald H. Liberty. She was a beloved mother to her three wonderful daughters, Michelle and her husband Brian Laskey of Methuen, Toni and her husband Daniel Gibbs of Methuen, Christine Shanahan of Dracut and her two grandchildren, Kylie-Ann Laskey and Evan Shanahan. She is also survived by sisters, Nancy Newcomb and her husband Stephen, Theresa O’leary; her brothers, Arthur Dunn and Robert Dunn and his wife Kimberly. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9 AM on Thursday, January 21 at St. Moncia’s Parish, 214 Lawrence Street, Methuen. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Methuen. Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Wednesday, January 20 from 4 PM - 8 PM at the Kenneth H Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence Street, Methuen. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Barbara’s honor to the American Lung Association, 460 Totten Pond Road, #400, Waltham, MA 02451.
