Raimundo P. Pereira, age 68, of Fall River, passed away on Sunday January 17, 2016. He was the devoted husband of Mary S. (Botelho) Pereira for 45 years. Raimundo was born in Capelas São Miguel, Açores he was the son of the late Antonio V. and Maria A. (Pimental) Pereira. He was a construction worker and landscaper for various companies, was a caretaker for all animals, enjoyed yardwork, playing cards, taking trips to the casinos, spending time with his family especially his grandchildren.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his children; Sarah Guillemettte (husband James), Lisa Degagne (husband Ron), Raymond Pereira Jr. (fiancé Kathy Batista), and Ann Marie Pereira (fiancé David Rochester Sr.), sisters; Maria Isabel Sousa and Manuela Travasos (husband Gabriel), 7 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Luciano and Edward Pereira.
His funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home 1521 N. Main St. Fall River on Thursday here at 9 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial St. Michael’s Church at 10 A.M. Interment in St. Patrick’s Cemetery. Calling hours on Wednesday from 4-8 P.M.
