Methuen - Evelyn L. Bell, 90, of Methuen, died peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Thursday, January 14, 2016. She was the beloved wife of the late Edwin F. Bell, to whom she was married for 43 years.
Born on June 26, 1925, she was the daughter of Omer and Irene (Sinotte) St. Pierre. She worked as a secretary to the chaplains at Lawrence General Hospital for several years until her retirement. Evelyn’s greatest joy was spending time with her family, which she considered her greatest blessing. Spending time with them, including holidays and special occasions, were some of her most heart-warming and treasured memories. She was always surrounded by family at her home, whether it was enjoying a sports game on television or sharing a cup of coffee at the kitchen table.
She leaves her daughters Ruth Bell Clark of Rye, NH, Ellen and her husband Alan Sicard of Lawrence, Paula and her husband Gary Robinson of Methuen, Jeannie Aubin of Methuen, Patricia and her husband Kevin Dubois of Bradford, and Jane and her husband Charles Drago of Methuen, sons Glenn and William of Methuen, 26 grandchildren, 15 great-great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Francis St. Pierre and his wife, Yvette, her grandson, Thomas Clark IV and her son-in-law, Dana Aubin.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 AM Wednesday at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church/St. Theresa Church at 22 Plymouth Street in Methuen.
