Laconia----- Carolyn D. Hermalak, age 79, formerly of Northfield, NH, died on Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at the Laconia Center Genesis Healthcare Facility. She was born on August 18, 1936 in Baltimore, MD, the daughter of the late August and Catherine (Vittek) Deigert.
Carolyn moved to the lakes region in 1985 and worked as a personal banker for the Laconia Savings Bank for many years. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and taking various cruises and sightseeing trips.
Members of the family include a son Timothy D. Morris of Kempner, TX and a daughter Deborah A. Martin of Bristol, CT; ten grandchildren, Kristin, Justin, Kaitlin, Timothy Jr., Jessica, Michael III, Joseph, Joshua, Matthew and Crystal and four great grandchildren, Damion, Tristan, Ayden and Jonah.
In addition to her parents, Carolyn was predeceased by her daughters, Diane Drury and Dawn Martin and a brother, Richard Deigert.
No services are scheduled at this time. A burial will take place at a later date at the Holy Redeemer Cemetery in Baltimore, MD.
