Laconia-----Carol A. (Begin) Cleaver 67, of Pine Street died peacefully with her loving family by her side Saturday, January 2, 2016 at Concord Hospital following a long illness.
Carol was born January 31, 1948 in Laconia, daughter to the late Joseph A. and Madeline (Duval) Begin. She worked at Laconia Shoe for many years before retiring. Carol enjoyed playing bingo and babysitting for friends and family. She also loved her long time companion Sushi, her dog and above all spending time with family and friends.
Carol is survived by her daughter and caregiver, Tammy (Cleaver) Baker and her husband, Robert of Laconia; two sons, Dana Sargent of San Bernadino, CA and David Sargent of NH; two grandchildren, Mathew Cheney of North Conway and Kimberly Cheney of Alton, three sisters, Joan Bishop of Pearl River, LA, Beverly Hashitomto of Hawaii Shirley Jones of Sandwich, NH; and a brother Dennis Begin of Germany, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents she is predeceased by four brothers, Wilfred, Albert, John and Raymond and two sisters, Dorothy and Linda.
Calling hours will be held Saturday, January 9, 2016 from 5:00 to 7:00pm at the Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, using the Carriage House entrance.
A Funeral Service will Immediately follow at 7:00pm also at the funeral home.
Burial will be in the spring in the family lot at St. Lambert Cemetery, Laconia, NH.
