WEBSTER – Jozef Nowak, 57, died Saturday, January 2, 2016 in the Transitional Care Unit at Hubbard Regional Hospital, Webster.
He leaves a son, Krzysztof and his wife Tamara Nowak of Charlton; a daughter, Alina and her husband Carlos Torres of Dudley; his mother, Marianna (Cetnarski) Nowak; 3 granchildren, Damian Torres, Noah Torres and Victoria Nowak; a sister, Ursula and her husband Ryszard Kokosinski of Dudley; a nephew and 2 nieces. He was eagerly awaiting the birth of his 4th grandchild in February.
He was born in Blogocice, Poland, the son of the late Bonifacy Nowak. He moved to the United States in 1998.
Mr. Nowak worked on his family farm before moving here. He then was a machinist for Koko’s Machine in Dudley, retiring in 2014.
He was a member of Saint Joseph Basilica. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, carpentry and Westerns.
The funeral will be held Saturday, January 9, from the Sitkowski & Malboeuf Funeral Home, 340 School St., with a Mass at 11:00 AM in Saint Joseph Basilica, 53 Whitcomb Street. Burial will be in St. Joseph Garden of Peace. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 Friday, January 8, in the funeral home.
