Mary I. Horan (Farrell) age 79 of Mattapan passed away January 2nd at home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Boston, she was raised in Milton and graduated from Mt. St. Joseph High School and Chandler Secretarial School. She worked as a secretary for Thomas Family Dental and the Mass Marine Trade Assn. before retiring. She was an active parishioner of St. Angela’s Parish in Mattapan for many years. Beloved wife of the late Robert F. Mother of Kathleen Birolini and her husband John of Weymouth, Mark F. Horan and his wife Juline of Weymouth, Ellen A. Lanza and her husband Paul of Milton and the late Janet M. Horan. Sister of the late Francis Farrell. Devoted grandmother of Brian, Michael and Jillian Birolini, Juline, Katelyn and Caroline Horan, Julianne and Lauren Lanza. Funeral mass at St. Angela Church Mattapan Wednesday morning at 10. Visiting hours at the Alfred D. Thomas Funeral Home 326 Granite Ave Milton Tuesday 4-8 pm. Burial Milton Cemetery.
