Methuen – Linda Giarrusso, 61 of Methuen, passed away on Thursday, December 31, 2015 at the Nevins Nursing Home in Methuen.
Born in Methuen on March 13, 1954, Linda was the daughter of Louis and Helen (Fitzpatrick) Giarrusso. She attended Lawrence schools and graduated from the Oliver Partnership School. Linda was a member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians, the GLARC, and St. Rita Sodality. She was a big fan of the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots. She enjoyed playing video games and taking trips to Foxwoods, where she would play the slot machines. She also loved spending time with her nieces and nephews and grandnieces and grandnephews.
Linda will be deeply missed by her mother, Helen Giarrusso of Methuen; sister-in-law, Paula Giarrusso of Windham, NH; her niece, Jennifer Giarrusso of Methuen and her boyfriend, Nathaniel Lindberg; 3 nephews, Michael Giarrusso and his wife, Kristine of Windham, NH, James Giarrusso and his wife, Elizabeth of Hampstead, NH, and Steven Giarrusso of Methuen and his girlfriend, Kylie Johnson; 4 grandnieces and grandnephews, Quinn, Garrity, Tyler, and Gwendolyn; 2 aunts, Shirley Perzechino of Methuen and Joan Bruso of Webster, MA; and her many special friends, including those from Park Gardens in Methuen. She is predeceased by her father, Louis, and her brother, Michael Giarrusso.
Family and friends will honor and celebrate Linda’s life by gathering for calling hours at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence Street, Methuen on Monday, January 4, 2016 from 4-8 PM. Her Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Monica’s Church in Methuen on Tuesday at 9 AM. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery in Methuen.
