Obituary

LACONIA – Henry Albert “Sonny” Levasseur, 74, of 7 Morningside Drive, died unexpectedly Thursday, December 31, 2015 at Lakes Region General Hospital.
He was born on July 18, 1941 in Laconia, the son of the late Henry F. and Florence (Robichaud) Levasseur. Henry served in the US Air Force and worked for many years as a General Contractor, carrying on the family business of Clem Levasseur Company from his father. He was a member of the Laconia Elks #876 and also a member of the Laconia Country Club and the Pheasant Ridge Country Club. Henry was a lifelong resident of Laconia and was a huge Boston sports fan. Those who knew Sonny could find him every morning at the Water Street Café as well as Boulia-Gorrell. He loved fishing, golf and was known as a kind, generous and caring man and a devoted husband and beloved father and grandfather.
He is survived by his wife, Loretta (Seminatore) Levasseur of Laconia, one son, Christopher A. Levasseur and his significant other, Alicia A. Getz of Londonderry, one daughter, Michelle A. Natale and her husband Anthony F. Leonard Jr. of Franklin, MA, two grandchildren; Cameron A. Getz-Levasseur of Londonderry and Dominic A. Natale of Franklin, MA, several nieces, nephews, one brother-in-law, Marcel Gill of Derry and three sisters-in-law, Joan Chandler of Laconia and Barbara and Marie Seminatore, both of Burlington, MA. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his three brothers; Roger Levasseur, Clement Levasseur and Norman “Bud” Levasseur, two sisters; Lorraine Gill and Doris Thibodeau, two sisters-in-law; Edith Levasseur and Joyce Levasseur and one brother-in-law, Norman Thibodeau.
Calling hours will be held from 4PM to 7PM on Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at the Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, using the Carriage House entrance.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10AM on Thursday, January 7, 2016 at St. Andre Bessette Parish – Sacred Heart Church, 291 Union Avenue, Laconia.

Burial will follow in the family plot at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Garfield Street, Laconia.
