Obituary

Robert M. "Pic" Picardi, a 2 year resident of Stoneham and former resident of Charlestown, Everett and Medford, entered into eternal life on Saturday, December 26, 2015 at Beth Israel-Deaconess Medical Center in Boston following an extended illness. He was 67 years old.

Bobby was born in Boston on June 27, 1948, a son of Virginia D. (Palma) Picardi and Patrick F. Picardi. He grew up in Charlestown where he was educated in the Boston Public School system and graduated from Charlestown High School in 1966. Bobby worked as an Engineer for the Suffolk County Sheriff's Department at South Bay where he ran the heating systems and retired after a 11 years of service. Bobby enjoyed traveling to Vermont where he hunted and fished and also fished at Plum Island and Chappaquiddick with his late friend Mike Peters. He rode motorcycles nearly his whole life and had a mind for mechanics and an instinctual ability to fix nearly anything. He was a jack of all trades. Bobby was a dedicated friend of Bill W. for over 30 years.

Bobby is the devoted father of Michael Picardi of Gloucester. He is the beloved son of Virginia D. (Palma) Picardi and the late Patrick F. Picardi. He is the beloved brother of Judy Collins of Malden, Frederick Picardi of Malden, Carol Upton and her late husband Herbie of Malden and the late Patrick F. Picardi Jr. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Bobby's visiting hours on Wednesday, December 30, 2015 from 3 to 7 P.M. with his Funeral Service at 6:30 P.M. in The Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown. His burial will be private.
