Mr. James P. Cotnoir, 66, of Fitchburg, MA died Thursday December 24th at Health Alliance Medical Center in Leominster. Born in Fitchburg Mr. Cotnoir had been an area resident all his life. For many years he had been employed by the James River Paper Company. Mr. Cotnoir served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He enjoyed woodworking, and spending time with his family. Pre-deceased by his mother Rita Y. (Comeau) Cotnoir and his brother Wayne R. Cotnoir he is survived by his wife of 32 years Jane (Anderson)(Robertson) Cotnoir of Fitchburg, father; Clement A. Cotnoir of Fitchburg, three daughters; Cathy Percival of Titusville, FL, Alison and her husband Michael Jenkins of Winter Haven, FL, Shelley and her husband Dr. Thomas Betsy of Hillsdale, NJ. Four sons; Christopher Cotnoir and his wife Gretchen of Morristown, NJ, Michael Cotnoir and his wife Bobbi of Hudson, FL, Douglas Robertson and his wife Brenda of Fitchburg, and Steven Robertson of Leominster. One sister; Carol and her husband Donald Hunt of Fitchburg, two brothers; David Cotnoir and his wife Nancy of Methuen, Kevin and his wife Carol of Fitchburg. There are 15 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday from 10:00 am to 12:30 pm at the Brandon Funeral Home, 305 Wanoosnoc Rd., Fitchburg. Burial will follow in Winchendon Veteran Cemetery at 2:00 pm.
