Emagene Boehm age 91 of La Grange passed away on December 13, 2015.
Emagene was the daughter of Leon and Ruby Schulze Voelkel. She was born on September 25, 1924 in the two story house of her grandparents in Rutersville, which is still standing on Sand Rock Road. She attended the Rutersville Country School and later worked at different jobs. She loved to dance and that is where she met the love of her life, George Boehm. They were married on October 19, 1944 and lived in Rutersville until 1959 when they moved to La Grange.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband George and brother Eugene.
She is survived by two sons, Robert and wife Helen and Richard and wife Lillian; three grandchildren, Jason Boehm and wife Jamie, Julie Womack and husband Paul and Jeremy Boehm and wife Kim; four great-grandchildren, Elisabeth Boehm, Blake Boehm, George Womack and Lauryn Boehm, due in April.
Memorial services are scheduled for Monday December 21, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church in La Grange.
