Gilford-----Allan Stephen Demko, age 64, of Sprucewood Dr., Gilford, NH, passed away on Thursday, November 26, 2015 at the Lakes Region General Hospital in Laconia, NH. He was born on June 22, 1951 in Jersey City, New Jersey, the son of the late John and Mildred (Michalski) Demko.
Allan received his Masters degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University and worked as a financial administrator for 16 years for the Winnisquam and Northwood School Districts.
His first love was his family, and he enjoyed going to his son’s events, including sports, plays, musicals, and concerts. Allan also loved baseball, especially the Boston Red Sox, his dogs, camping, and visiting Maine to be close to the ocean.
Allan is survived by his wife of 38 years, Corinne Demko (Gleason); sons, Matthew Demko of Belmont, Andrew Demko and his wife Courtney of Manhattan Beach, California and Luke and his wife Kimberly of Gardner, Kansas; and sisters Joann Costa and Michelle Faussette both of Pennsylvania. Allan also leaves behind two granddaughters Samantha and Coralen Demko and many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of his life will take place at the convenience of the family.
