Mrs. Eleanor G. (Cornwell) Leavitt, 72, of Andover died Saturday, November 28th at Lawrence General Hospital. The daughter of the late George and Mary (Wall) Cornwell she was born in Gardner, ME. Mrs. Leavitt worked at ITT Semiconductors in Lawrence and later as a Nursing Assistant at Presentation Of Mary Convent in Methuen. She enjoyed Bingo and was considered a foodie by her family and friends. Mrs. Leavitt took great pleasure in teaching knitting to high school students while she was in the Academy Manor Nursing Home, most of all she loved to spend time with her family. Mrs. Leavitt is survived by two daughters; Holly and her husband Louis Mailloux of Bedford, NH and Bonnie Nichols of Lawrence. Two sisters Joan Brooks of Ft. Worth, TX and Claire and her husband Joseph Cahoon of Lynn, MA, five grandchildren Scott Mailloux, Jillian Mailloux, Spencer Nichols, Brandon Nichols and Sean Nichols. And several nieces and nephews.
