Sword, Joyce (Rodgers) Droz, 88, passed away Friday, November 27, 2015 at St’s Mary & Elizabeth Hospital.
She was born in Lodiburg, KY to Kirby and Willa (Deacon) Rodgers. Joyce was a retired school teacher for the Jefferson County Public Schools, with over 20 years service.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband of 35 years, Dale Droz; and her second husband of 10 years, Frank Sword.
Survivors include her children, Doug Droz (Danna) and Connie D. Diaz (George); seven grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday 2:00 PM at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway; with memorial visitation Tuesday at 11:00 AM–2:00 PM.
Cremation was chosen.
