Kathleen P. “Katie” Loosemore, 96, of Worcester passed away on Wednesday November 25, 2015 at Rose Monahan Hospice House.
She was born in Worcester a daughter of the late Patrick and Mary (Fitzpatrick) McDonough. Katie graduated from St. Peters High School and went on to work as a bookkeeper at Crompton Knowles Company. Following that she worked in medical claims at Fairlawn Rehabilitation Hospital. Mrs. Loosemore was a member of Our Lady of the Rosary Church.
Katie loved celebrating with friends and family, she would turn tea and cookies into a party. She loved watching football with her sons, singing and dancing, outings with her great-granddaughter, and all of the little everyday pleasures of life.
She is survived by her sons, James F. Loosemore and his wife Elizabeth “Lissa” of Fletcher, NC; Robert J. Loosemore of Quincy and Gary P. Loosemore and his wife Deborah of Jamestown, NC; five grandchildren, Jennifer Gaudette of Northboro, Amy Simmons of Greensboro, NC, Sarah-Jane Harsip of Woburn, Rachel Allen of Raleigh, NC and Steven Loosemore of Cary, NC; two great grandchildren, Isabelle and Aiden. Her husband, R. James Loosemore predeceased her in 1973.
She is also predeceased by three brothers, John, William and James McDonough; two sisters Rita M. Loosemore and Mary Gagnon.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday November 29th from 4 until 6pm at FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME 1, W.BOYLSTON ST., WEST BOYLSTON. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00am Monday November 30th, at Our Lady of the Rosary Church, 25 Fales St., Worcester. Burial is to follow in St. Johns Cemetery.
