Obituary

Worcester - Anne (Depoian) Choolfaian, 95, a life-long resident of Worcester, died peacefully surrounded by her family at the Christopher House, Tuesday, November 24, 2015.

She was the daughter of Eusquhe (Hovagimian) and Stephen Depoian. She leaves two daughters, Barbara Totaro and her husband Pasquale of Worcester and Diana Solitro and her husband Nick of Worcester. She also leaves 6 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and her niece Cheryl Baljian and her husband The Rev. Fr. Antranig Baljian. She was predeceased by her husband Krikor, her son Russell, her sister Margaret, and her brother William.

Anne was a graduate of Commerce High School. She was a sales associate at Strand's Ski Shop for many years. When Anne retired, she enjoyed playing cards and Bingo with the 39ers Club at Coes Pond Village. She loved cooking Armenian food for her family, especially yalanchi and choreg.

The family extends their deepest gratitude to the staff of the Belmont Unit at Christopher House for the exceptional compassion and care they bestowed on Anne for the last six years.

Calling hours will be held Monday, Nov. 30, from 9-10:30 am at Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln Street. Funeral services will follow immediately after calling hours at 11:00 am at the Armenian Church of Our Saviour. Burial will follow in Hope Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Armenian Church of Our Saviour, 87 Salisbury St., Worcester MA 01609.
