Fairhaven – Mary A. Winderlick, age 90 formerly of Dartmouth, passed away on Wednesday November 25, 2015 at Our Lady’s Haven. She was the widow of Manuel C. Winderlick and the daughter of the late Margarida (Costa) and Jose Arruda.
Born in Pawtucket, RI, Mary lived most of her life in this area and worked for Knapp Shoes until her retirement. She enjoyed to bowl, knit and loved to help the elderly.
Her surviving family includes a son: George L. Winderlick and his wife, Joyce of Acushnet; a brother, Edward Arruda of California; as well as 4 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Winderlick was predeceased by her son, Ronald Winderlick; siblings: Jenny DeMello, Tony Arruda, Margaret Arruda and 1 grandchild, Steven Winderlick.
Her funeral will be Monday beginning in the funeral home at 8:45 A.M. with Mass of Christian Burial at St. Julie Billiart Church to begin at 10:00 A.M. Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Sunday evening from 4 – 7 P.M. Arrangements placed in the care of Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. in New Bedford, MA.
