Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Sunday, November 22, 2015, Danny Floyd Posey, Sr, 62, husband of Jean Posey.
A native of Augusta, GA, Danny was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and best friend to many, many people. A retired general contractor, Mr Posey was the owner of Posey’s Construction and co-owner of A Piece of Cake Bakery. In addition to the love for his family and friends, his greatest passion was SCUBA diving. For the past 34 years, Danny shared many wonderful and exciting adventures diving around the world with his extended family at Neptune Dive and Ski.
Family members include wife: Jean Posey, son: Dan Posey, daughter: Julie Posey, grandson (and special Sidekick): Lucas Bonadio, step-grandchildren: Samantha Cray, Shelby Cray, and Sabrina Cray, brother: Jack Bruce Posey, Jr, sisters: Paula Kaylor and Nona Ligon (Paul), beloved cousin: Gary Posey (Jackie), and many loving nieces and nephews.
A Chapel service will be held Saturday, November 28, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. at Thomas Poteet & Son Funeral Directors, 214 Davis Rd., Augusta, Ga 30907 (706) 364-8484 with a graveside service to follow at Westover Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Johnny Rogers officiating.
Pallbearers will be Paul Allen Ligon, Brian Ligon, Chad Ligon, Jack Posey, III, Kevin Posey, Wayne Kaylor.
