Betty E. (Gilbert) Lepore, age 80, of Carver, died peacefully on Monday, November 23, 2015, at the Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Plymouth.
She was born in Brockton on April 13, 1935, and lived in Whitman. She was the daughter of the late Carl V. & Adelaide E. (Fox) Gilbert. Bette's love of gardening, reading and cooking stayed with her throughout her life. She retired from the Plymouth County Extension Service.
Bette is survived by her son, Steve Lepore & his wife Ann; her daughter, Karen Sinnott; her three grandchildren, Greg, Jennifer and Alyssa; her brothers, Carl Gilbert and Jack Gilbert; her special in laws, Richard March and Judy Gilbert and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers, Jimmy Gilbert and George Gilbert and her sisters, Linda March and Corrine Collins.
Memorial visitation will be held at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 116 Main Street, (Route 58), Carver, on Thursday, December 3, 2015, from 9:30-11:00 AM, with a prayer service starting at 11:00 AM.
Interment services will be private.
