Louis “Louie” Capraro, of Derry, NH, passed away peacefully, on Monday, November 23rd at the Pleasant Valley Nursing Home in Derry, NH, surrounded by his loving family. He was 97.

Born in Boston, he was the son of the late Joseph and Beatrice (Montalbano) Capraro.

After high school graduation, Louie worked in his family business until he began his career with the Middlesex Courthouse in Cambridge. He proudly served as a court officer for many years. Following his retirement, Louie spent his time caring for his grandchildren, whom he loved very much. Family and friends were most important to Louie and he worked hard to provide the love and care for all.

He was the beloved husband of Dorothy (Fucillo) Capraro of Groton, with whom he shared 61 loving years of marriage. Louie was a devoted father of one. He was the loving grandfather Amanda Masci and her fiancé Jacob Spaulding, Madison, Jordon, Shane Jr. and Casey Masci all of NH. Loving great grandfather of Ian & Jase Masci both of NH. Louie was the dear brother of eight siblings. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to visit with the family at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main Street, Medford on Monday, November 30th from 10 to 11 AM followed by a Funeral Mass celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 118 High Street, Medford, at 11:30 AM. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent in Louie's name to the charitable organization of One's choice.
