Mary T. McLean passed away at Tufts Medical Center after a brief illness on Saturday afternoon. She was 90. Born and raised in Boston's North End, she was the daughter of the late Nicholas and Flora (Silverio) Assetta. A Medford resident for over 72 years, Mary enjoyed a long career with the Medford Public Library. In fact, after her retirement, she continued working part time and was still working. She was a loving wife and mother who was devoted to her large extended family.


She was the beloved wife of the late Arthur McLean and the late Joseph Apicco. She was a devoted and loving mother to Flora Halperson of Medford. She was a dear sister of the late Theresa Murphy, Frances LaVita, Helen Call, Guy, John and Philip Assetta and was also lovingly survived by many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to visit at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Wednesday, November 25th from 9:30 -10:30 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Raphael Church, 512 High Street, Medford, at 11 AM. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Mary's name to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St. Framingham , MA 01701.
