WEBSTER – Albert Pavolis, 97, died Saturday, November 21, 2015 at home surrounded by his family after a period of declining health. His wife, Elizabeth J. (Kaliunas) Pavolis, died in 2006.
He leaves a son, Russell S. Pavolis of Oakham; a daughter, Judith A. Potvin and her husband Thomas E. Potvin of Webster; 3 grandchildren, Kara Latham and her husband, Haillee Pavolis and her husband and Eric Potvin and his wife; a great-granddaughter Penelope; a brother, Daniel Pavolis of Westborough; nephews and nieces.
He was born in Brockton, one of the 5 sons of Stephen and Marcella Pavolis. He lived in Worcester most of his life before moving to Webster in 2004.
He was an Army veteran of World War II.
Mr. Pavolis worked in the forge shop at Wyman-Gordan Company in Worcester for over 40 years before he retired in 1982.
He was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in Webster and a former member of Our Lady of Vilna Church in Worcester. He was a life member of the Polish Naturalization Club, Inc. (PNI) in Worcester. He was an ardent fan of the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots. He enjoyed fishing and golfing.
Funeral services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the direction of Scanlon Funeral Service, 38 East Main Street, Webster.
