John G. Burrows Jr. of Weymouth passed away at home suddenly November 18, 2015, he was 64 years old. Born in Glace Bay, Nova Scotia. He and his family immigrated to the United States in 1962 when he was 11 years old and settled in Quincy, MA. John was a graduate of Quincy High School. He received a Bachelor of Science in Law Enforcement and Criminal Justice from Boston State College in 1974. John worked for the Norfolk County Sheriff’s Department as a Corrections Officer from 1975-1985. He worked for the United States Postal Service for 28 years and retired in 2013. He is survived by his wife of 40 years Lee Ann (Brennan) Burrows. Loving father to John G Burrows III and his wife Jen of Dorchester, James and his wife Brenna of Braintree. And the joy of his life, his grandchildren John IV, and James Jr. He is preceded by his parents, John and Marian Burrows, Quincy; Roderick Burrows, Hanson; Ann Marie Zukauskas, Weymouth. He is also survived by his sisters Mary Jane Markum, Quincy and Margaret Burrows, Quincy; many loving nieces and nephews and dear friends. Relatives and friends invited to attend a funeral mass at Sacred Heart Church Weymouth Monday at 11:30. Visiting hours at the Alfred D. Thomas Funeral Home 326 Granite Ave Milton Sunday 4-8 pm.
