Obituary

Mrs. Lillian I. (Demers) Smith, 76, of Dracut, died Sunday at Holy Family Hospital in Methuen. Born in Lawrence to Alfred and Rita (Brien) Demers, Mrs Smith had been an area resident all her life. She worked at Raytheon as an assembler, was a member of the Royal Red Hat Society, and donated her time to many charitable organizations. Mrs. Smith was a member of St. Francis Parish in Dracut. She loved to cook, bake and spend time with her family. She is survived by her husband Edward C. Smith Jr., five step-daughters; Deborah Stone of Lynn, MA, Janice and her husband James Tremblay of Salem, NH, Cathy Tranfaglia of Groveland, MA, Paula and her husband Scott McKie of Palm Bay, FL, and Vicky and her husband Ryan Boisselle of Lynn, MA. One step-son; Michael Smith of Portage, IN. One brother; Robert Demers of Salem, NH. There are many Step-grandchildren, great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Memorial donations can be made in Mrs. Smith’s memory to: Winchester Hospital Foundation, The Dr. Heidbreder Patient Comfort Fund 620 Washington Street, Winchester, MA 01890.
Family and friends are invited to call on Friday, November 20th from 10:00 to 11:00 am at Edgar J. Racicot Inc. Funeral Home, 1400 Broadway Rd, Dracut (978-683-2706).
