Hildegarde Magdelene (McKenna) Regan, of Woburn, passed away Saturday, November14th at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital in Melrose, surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Boston, she was raised in Medford and was the daughter of the late Thomas and Hildegarde (Wilson) McKenna. A Medford High School graduate class of 1953, Hildegarde went on to start a family and begin a lifelong career with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Hildegarde was a Program Manager with MassDOT, where she worked faithfully, up until a month before her passing. Hildegarde was most of all a generous person. She was generosity of Spirit. A woman of faith, she led each day with charisma, always helping and caring for others. She was a loving and giving woman, both with time and herself. Hildegarde took the time to know each person in her life, and made them feel special. In her spare time, she enjoyed spending time with family and friends, being with her grandchildren and visiting the beach.

She was the beloved wife of Robert J. Regan of Woburn for whom she shared 61 years of marriage. Devoted mother of Robert T. Regan and his spouse Tamar of San Antonio, TX, Paul G. Regan and his spouse Donna of Lawrenceville, GA, Hildegarde M. Regan and Beverly Regan both of Atlanta, GA. Dear sister of Patricia England of GA and Alfred Johnson of SC. Loving grandmother of Chase, Nicole and Garrett Regan, Owen and Regan Edwards, and Justin Hermosilla. She is also survived by her faithful friend Marissa Pepicelli and many loving nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to visit with the family at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main Street, Medford on Wednesday, November 18th from 8:30 through 10:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass celebrated in St. Raphael Church, 512 High Street, Medford, at 11 AM. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
