Beverly was born on July 15, 1925 in Smithfield, ME to Velma Clement and Mearl "Jake" Stevens. She is predeceased by her daughter Ellen (Adams) Longvall and her husband of 73 years, Herbert H. Adams.

She leaves her sisters Betty, Shirley, Ica and her brother Marvin, her son Mearl and his wife Paulette of North Brookfield, MA, son Mark and his wife Kyle of Dover, NH, son-in-law Scott Longvall of Worcester, MA, grandchildren Matthew Sr. of Springfield, MA, Christopher Adams and his wife Cara of Rochester. NH, Ben Longvall and his wife Kim of Worcester, MA, Hillary (Adams) and her husband Greg Case of Chelmsford, MA, and Emily Longvall of Worcester, MA and great-grandchildren Matthew Jr., Julianna, Piper and Brendan.

Beverly was the oldest of ten children; four whole siblings and five half siblings born to her stepmother Ruby. Beverly attended Norridgewock High School, married in 1941 and did not graduate, but always wished she had. Beverly and Herbert married in 1941 prior to his joining the service and fighting in the European theatre of WWII. They were apart for four years soon after marrying.

Beverly and her sister moved to Massachusetts during the war to work in various factories. When Herbert returned they settled in Worcester where they bought the home they would live in for over sixty five years.

Beverly raised three children while working at various nursing homes. She truly enjoyed and was good at taking care of people. After she retired she often took care of her grandchildren and children from the neighborhood. Beverly was an amazing cook and enjoyed sewing, puzzles and traveling with Herb. She treasured her family above all as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and was an inspiration and beautiful role model for all of us.

After spending her life taking care of others, Beverly enjoyed being taken care of in her last weeks at the Rose Monahan Hospice Home. The family thanks all of the staff and volunteers for their loving care and comfort.

The family also thanks Herb and Beverly's friends and neighbors, especially Wendy and Dan, Lenny, Beth, Chris, Bill, Steve and Lucy, and all the neighborhood children. You made Herbert and Beverly's lives better and helped them stay at home till the end. They loved you all like family.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations in Beverly’s memory may be made to the Rose Monahan Hospice Home, 10 Judith Road, Worcester, MA 01602.
