Obituary

Eleanor Arlene Giusti, 69 of East Walpole, and Nantucket, died November 8, in her home following a long illness. She was the wife of Michael S. Bearse for the past 26 years.
Born in Norwood, May 24, 1946, the daughter of the late Vito and Eleanor (Bandieri) Guisti, Eleanor was a lifelong Walpole resident.
She was a graduate of Walpole High School, she received her BA from Boston College and then taught English in Puerto Rico for a year.
She returned to Boston and received her M.Ed. in Special Education from Boston College.
She taught special education in the Town of Natick for several years. She then established Giusti Development Company. She built Condominiums on Cape Cod and in Rhode Island.
She returned to, teaching Special Education in Needham for nearly 15 years before retiring.
Ellie loved to, spend time at her home on Nantucket, travel, cook, make her own jewelry and to dance.
A talented contractor she built her home in East Walpole and renovated her home on Nantucket.
In addition to her husband she is survived by her step-daughters, Rebecca Bearse and Jennifer Bearse of San Francisco, California.
She is also survived by her brothers, George Guisti of Walpole and Richard Giusti of Walpole.
She was the sister of the late Robert and Ralph Guisti.
She is also survived by her sister-in-law’s Judy Giusti and Shirley Guisti was the sister-in- law of the late Marilyn Guisti.
Her calling hours will be held on Thursday, November 12, in the Ginley Funeral Home, 892 Main Street, Walpole from 4 -8 p.m.
A celebration of her life will be held on Friday at 12:30 P.M. in Raffael’s, Main Street, Walpole.
Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may be made in her memory to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, P.O. Box 849168, Boston, MA 02284-9168.
